I was born a fighter

I was born a fighter.

I will never give up,
throw in the towel,
back down,
quit or

It just won’t happen.

I may not wear a cape,
have my initials emblazoned across my chest
or leap tall buildings in a single bound
but I do wear PJ’s,
have coffee stains on my shirt
and fall faster than the speed of light.

That’s part of being a Multiple Sclerosis superhero.

Because of MS I’m a doctor without a diploma,
a professional freestyle tumbler and
a grammy winning performer.

I forget appointments,
burn dinner,
avoid saunas,
create messes,
trip on air and
stumble over itty bitty cracks.

Yes, that’s me.

I’m a hard working,
word searching,
body fighting,
bruise finding,
re-run watching,
wall holding,
floor catching,
numb walking,
stair falling,
ice vest wearing,
body slamming,
pillow hugging,
nap taking,
slow moving,
mountain climbing,
Multiple Sclerosis WARRIOR.

Thanks, Penelope for all your encouraging quotes. Some days are hard when you get home from work, and you’re hurting, tired, and remind yourself one foot in front of the other. Then I read your quotes and they give me inspiration. Thank you.

well I have enlisted a LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE (mainly because I’m too wee to resort to violence and I’d just get pounded anyway!)

    The Case For The Prosecution

Guess I’m just a PLUMBER sort of FIGHTING – PLUMBER/ LAWYER
Trying to get my VENOUS PIPES CLEARED
Of all the toxins that are stopping body replenishing my MYELIN
    I have the evidence
Of FRIENDS WHO scaled the fence
    But some are nolonger here
    I FEAR
ALTHOUGH they fought so so hard
    Nobody could Hear
And they got the RED CARD

They got SHAFTED when their Bocked DRAINS stopped
    Til their SEWAGE systems POPPED
When the problem was so Clear
    The solution SO SO NEAR
    Idiot experts slapping labels
Over the cracks to try to hide the

    With their pseudomedical ACTS
They say the price is too high
And they let the people die
    They do a shoddy job
As they don’t respect the MOB
But if only they’d have TALKS
They’d see its ignorance that BLOCKS
    The injustices are glaring
Cos the Medics are not sharing
They all want a piece of the US..
    But its OUR VEINS
    OUR Right
They really have US by the THROAT
Yet refuse to even give US a QUOTE
